NP Aerospace Jordan Delivers the First Shipment to the Jordan Armed Forces (JAF)
AMMAN, JORDAN. NP Aerospace Jordan (NPAJ) has delivered the first shipment as
part of a large contract to supply the Jordan Armed Forces with Protective
Ballistic Helmets.
NPAJ’s new model is considered to have the best performance parameters
currently available for a general purpose helmet. It combines high protection
levels, comfort and light weight.
“The significance of this order is not just in its value. It is in the fact
that Jordan Armed Forces, JAF, have chosen this model after many months of
evaluating various options available on the market” Said Nabil Issa, Managing
Director of NP Aerospace Jordan.
JAF selected this helmet after comprehensive testing of various models from
many countries.
KADDB went into partnership with NP Aerospace to strengthen the first's
research and technical capabilities in the field of composite materials (such
as Kevlar and Carbon fibers) and to widen its industrial base to create
employment opportunities.
The manufacturing facility in Jordan is managed and operated by qualified
Jordanian Engineers and technicians trained by NP Aerospace Ltd. of Coventry.
A World leader in compression molding and a well known manufacturer of Body
Armor and Ballistic Helmets, NP Aerospace is a major supplier of many products
to the British Ministry of Defense.
Mike Furry, Chairman of the Board of Directors of NPAJ said: “We are pleased
with our association with KADDB and are very excited to have started this
manufacturing facility in Jordan. It allows us to offer to other Arab
Countries high quality products at an affordable cost.”
The helmet will meet the special
conditions of use in the Arab countries. Various models and other personal
protection equipment will be shown at IDEX 2005, Abu Dhabi 12-17 February
2005.
